The Four Seasons Denver is located in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to Larimer Square, Union Station and tons of restaurants, shops and activities. It’s ideal for accessing all that downtown Denver has to offer. And if something is a little far to walk to, you can ask for a lift from the complimentary hotel car service.

The Lobby

A bright modern lobby displays colorful fresh flowers and offers plenty of seating perfect for meeting up with colleagues and other guests. Flower arrangements change and it’s fun to come off the elevator in the morning to a new display.

Four Seasons Denver Tent

The Room

When you visit Four Seasons Denver with children, they do something really fun. They put chocolate chip cookies and a tent and in the room. This is especially awesome because this hotel caters primarily to business people, but they go out of their way to make families feel welcome too. The tents have cozy bedding inside and of course my son chose to curl up in there rather than sleep in a bed. They even have mini spa robes for kids.

Four Seasons Denver Bed

The color scheme is earth tones, with varying textures like leather, glass, rich wood, immensely plush bedding, and sandstone on the walls.

Four Seasons Denver Tent Desk

The glass desk kind of visually disappears into negative space until you need to use it and I loved the comfortable, petite chair and ottoman. Huge windows showcase city and mountain views. I love looking over a big city at night and seeing all the sparkly lights, and at this hotel, you are right in the middle of it.

The Bath

Look at that sandstone, isn’t that cool? The soaking tub is a soothing place to be with the waterfall faucet and    sandstone. There’s a TV in the mirror for watching (if you are me: BRAVO) and body products are L’Occitane Verbena, which is a neutral non-perfumey lemon scent, and one of my favorites when it comes to hotel bath amenities.

Four Seasons Denver Dog Bed

Dog Friendly

Like other Four Seasons, the Denver location invites canine family members. When you arrive to your room, you’ll find customized treats, dog bowls, poo bags and a bed. One of my favorite things about all Four Seasons I’ve stayed at is how welcoming and friendly they are to dogs–you really feel the love.

The Pool

Denver can get HOT in the summer. The rooftop pool at the Four Seasons Denver is a soothing oasis flanked by juniper and aspen tress and other green foliage which takes the edge off concrete urban surroundings. Cool blue pool tiles and comfy loungers are inviting and I could have easily spent a few hours here if I’d had the time.

It’s the place to escape and cool off. The vibe up there is total chill and there is a full service bar and spacious patio seating area for hanging out. The pool is long enough to swim laps, which is something I love to do, particularly outside.

The Spa

The spa is on the same floor as the pool and fitness center. It’s full service, offering massages, scrubs and an assortment of healing, soothing treatments, even acupuncture. A beautiful relaxation room, hot tub, steam room and sauna are all great places to unwind pre and post-treatment.

I had the signature Evergreen Massage which is inspired by the native Colorado landscape and incorporates the medicinal, anti-inflammatory properties of evergreen oils while using healing sticks to relieve aching muscles and relax your body. It was invigorating. I had a great therapist and I’d recommend this treatment. Altitude and heat combined can wear you out if you’re not used to it, and it’s a real luxury to have energy restored through healing arts.

The Food

I’m a vegetarian–pescatarian when I travel. Somehow I have the best luck getting wonderful meals at steakhouses. EDGE Restaurant & Bar is the restaurant at Four Seasons Denver, and it has excellent food, even for vegetarians.

Four Seasons Denver Crab Cake

We started with a Kale Salad with blueberries and hazelnuts. Fantastic. The dressing is creamy-lemony and the blueberries combined with kale and crunchy nuts were texturally perfect. Then I had a fabulous Crab Cake and local beer while my son raved about the steak and fries. Dessert is Insanely good. Insane! We had freshly made piping hot Donuts with chocolate sauce and Sticky Toffee Pudding with homemade vanilla ice cream. I’m not a pudding person, but WOW. We are still talking about it. If you are in Denver and are not staying at the Four Seasons, you could always pop into EDGE for crab cakes and dessert–Amazing.

Four Seasons Denver Bottom Line

If you are headed to Denver, consider staying at the Four Seasons for excellent food (you must have dessert), a large and fabulous rooftop pool (a rarity in Denver), complimentary shuttle service, dog and kid friendly culture, and a prime location.

Larimer Square Denver

Be sure to visit Larimer Square at night when the lights are twinkling overhead. Union Station is fabulous any time of day. Transportation is easy, you do not need a car at all between the hotel car, Uber, Light Rail, B-Cycles (Denver’s community bicycle program), and walking. The Four Seasons makes everything so easy, it’s a great choice for Denver accommodations. Find out more on their website HERE.
